Union Larder

Union Larder is a neighborhood wine bar, cafe, and speciality grocery located in San Francisco’s Russian Hill. The space was originally part of a parking garage built in the 1920’s. Existing concrete structures have been exposed, and large structural steel elements have been added, which influence the aesthetics and design language of the space.

In collaboration with local craftsmen, furniture and light fixtures were designed that reference the industrial nature of the building. The interior is supplemented with selected pieces of reclaimed furniture, and the space is complemented by natural light and a warm, sophisticated material palette consisting of leather, wood, blackened steel.

Union Larder was awarded Wine Bar of the Year by Imbibe Magazine, and was also recognized by 7x7 and the San Francisco Chronicle.
